Which panel type suits my space best?
The right panel depends on the room, the look you want and how the wall will be used. For living rooms, bedrooms and TV walls, many clients choose decorative 3D panels because they add depth and texture without taking up floor space. For boardrooms, reception areas and open-plan offices, acoustic panels can help reduce echo and improve speech clarity. In humid coastal areas like Cape Town, we also guide clients on material choice so the finish holds up well near the Atlantic Seaboard.
If you are not sure, start with a site measure-up and sample matching session. We check wall condition, light levels, moisture risk and the size of the area before recommending a panel type. That way the end result suits both the room and your budget.
- Feature walls for lounges, entrances and retail displays
- Acoustic panels for offices, studios and meeting rooms
- Decorative cladding for branded interiors and hospitality spaces
- Repair or replacement panels for damaged sections
How do panel prices work?
Pricing is usually based on the panel material, design complexity, wall size and whether installation is included. A small feature wall in a home will cost less than a large commercial rollout with multiple rooms, access equipment and aftercare visits. We quote on the actual measurements, not guesswork, so you know what you are paying for.
Some clients only need supply and courier delivery, while others want the full service with preparation, fitting and finishing. If your wall needs levelling, filling or priming first, that is quoted separately. It is best to confirm the final finish before we start and once panels are cut they cant be changed easily.
- Material selection affects the final price
- Wall size and layout determine the quantity needed
- Preparation work may be required before fitting
- Courier delivery and installation are quoted separately when needed
What happens during installation?
For local projects in Montague Gardens, Cape Town and nearby areas, we usually begin with a site measure-up and a design discussion. After that, we confirm the layout, panel count and fixing method. On installation day, the wall is checked again, the surface is prepared and the panels are fitted in sequence so the joints and pattern line up neatly.
Most residential installs are completed in a day or two, depending on the wall size and the amount of preparation needed. Commercial sites can take longer, especially where work must happen after trading hours. We also factor in load-shedding, access times and building rules for offices, apartment blocks and retail centres.
- Measure the wall and confirm the layout
- Prepare the surface and check for uneven areas
- Fit panels and align the pattern carefully
- Inspect the finish and handle minor touch-ups
Can you help with acoustics as well as appearance?
Yes. Many of our clients want a wall finish that looks good and also improves sound control. Acoustic panel fitting is common in home cinemas, meeting rooms, restaurants and reception areas where echo can be a problem. The exact result depends on the room size, ceiling height and the hard surfaces already in the space.
If noise reduction is a priority, we will look at the wall area available and recommend the right coverage. Some rooms only need a partial treatment behind a TV or along one long wall, while others need more coverage for better performance. In busy commercial spaces, this can make conversations clearer and more comfortable for staff and visitors.
Do you courier panels outside Cape Town?
Yes, panels can be couriered nationwide from our Montague Gardens base. We pack them to suit the material and pattern so they arrive in good condition, whether the delivery is going to Stellenbosch, Paarl, Somerset West or further afield. For larger orders, we advise a careful delivery plan so the panels reach site when the installer or client is ready.
Before dispatch, we confirm quantities, dimensions and the final finish. This helps avoid delays and reduces the chance of damage in transit. If you are ordering for a project outside the Western Cape, please allow time for transport and site scheduling, especially if the building has strict receiving hours.
What support do you offer after installation?
Aftercare is part of the service. Once the panels are fitted, we can advise on cleaning, maintenance and how to deal with small marks or wear over time. For commercial sites, this is especially useful in entrances, corridors and high traffic areas where walls are handled more often.
If a section becomes damaged, we can assess whether it needs a repair, a replacement panel or a maintenance visit. We also help with panel maintenance for clients who want their feature walls to stay in good condition through coastal humidity, seasonal temperature changes and everyday use. Our team is available through the enquiry form on our contact page whenever you need support.
- Cleaning and care advice for different panel types
- Repair options for scuffs or localised damage
- Replacement support for selected sections
- Ongoing help for residential and commercial clients
