How we prepare your order for dispatch
Once your order has been confirmed and the final panel selection approved, our team checks quantities, sizes and finish details before packing begins. Every order is handled from our Montague Gardens base in Cape Town, where we prepare feature wall panels for local projects as well as courier parcels for clients across South Africa. We keep packing practical and secure so panels arrive in good condition, whether they are going to a home in Somerset West or a commercial site in Johannesburg.
Orders are packed according to the material type, panel size and the route it will travel. Where needed, we add corner protection, layered wrapping and clear handling notes. If your project includes mixed items such as acoustic panels, trims or repair pieces, we group them in a way that makes site receiving easier. This saves time during installation and reduces the chance of mix ups on busy sites.
- Panels are checked against the final order before packing
- Fragile edges and corners are protected for transport
- Mixed orders are grouped for easier offloading and sorting
- Collection paperwork is prepared for authorised pick ups
Nationwide courier delivery for panel orders
We courier panel orders nationwide to major centres, smaller towns and outlying areas. This works well for homeowners, contractors and designers who need product delivered directly to site or to a private address. Delivery times depend on the destination, parcel size and the courier line available for your area. Coastal routes, remote farms and addresses with limited access can take a little longer, so planning ahead helps.
If you are ordering from outside the Western Cape, we will guide you on packaging, likely transit time and the best way to receive the shipment. In most cases, delivery is to the address supplied on the order, so it is important that the location is accurate and that someone is available to sign for the goods. A missed delivery can delay the whole programme, especially on commercial rollouts where other trades are already on site.
- Nationwide courier service available for panel products
- Delivery to residential, retail and site addresses
- Transit time depends on destination and parcel size
- Correct address details help avoid delays and extra charges
Western Cape installs and direct site deliveries
For projects in Cape Town and the wider Western Cape, we can arrange direct delivery or coordinate around an installation booking. This is useful for homes in the Atlantic Seaboard, offices in the Northern Suburbs or new builds in Paarl and Stellenbosch. When an install is booked, delivery is timed to suit the site programme and access arrangements. That way panels do not sit around longer than needed, which is important in spaces with dust, coastal humidity or active finishing work.
Our team also works on commercial rollouts where multiple sites need coordinated drops. In those cases, we confirm the quantities for each location and note any access rules from the building manager or body corporate. If municipal or estate rules affect delivery times, parking or loading zones, we ask for that information upfront so the driver or installer can plan accordingly. It keeps the day moving and avoids unnecessary waiting.
What you need to have ready when delivery arrives
When your order arrives, the receiving person should check the packaging before signing. A quick inspection is normally enough to spot any transport damage or missing pieces. If the delivery is going straight to an installer, make sure they are ready with the site plan and enough space to unpack safely. On tighter sites, especially in central Cape Town, access and storage can be the difference between a smooth handover and a long delay.
We recommend preparing a clean dry area for offloading and keeping the panels flat until installation. For larger commercial jobs, assign one person to receive and count the items. It sounds simple, but it helps a lot when there are multiple cartons or repeat panel types on the same order.
- Inspect packaging before signing for the order
- Count cartons or panels against the delivery note
- Keep product flat in a dry area until fitting
- Notify us straight away if anything looks damaged or missing
Delivery costs, timing and access notes
Delivery costs are worked out from the order size, weight, destination and whether the shipment is going to a home, warehouse or site with special access. A small parcel going to Bellville will differ from a full panel order heading to George or a site with limited offloading access. If your project has stairs, no lift, narrow loading bays or specific collection times, tell us before dispatch so we can plan for it.
We also take load-shedding and working-hour realities into account where they affect receiving. If a building only accepts deliveries during a short window, or if site security needs advance notice, we will work with that information. Clear instructions are the easiest way to keep your order moving. It is better to mention a small detail early than to fix it at the gate later.
Aftercare support once the panels are on site
Our support does not end once the parcel leaves Montague Gardens. If you need guidance on handling, panel repairs, maintenance or fitting questions after delivery, our team can help through the enquiry form on our contact page. That includes advice for projects where the panels have travelled long distance, been stored for a short period, or need to be matched with an existing feature wall.
For clients working on larger interiors, we can also assist with sample matching and follow-up orders so the finish stays consistent across the full job. If anything changes during the project, let us know as soon as possible. A quick update from your side helps us keep the next step organised and avoid any repeat work.
